Divisions - General Information

The Rolling Fork Police Department is made up of dedicated full-time personnel working across multiple divisions to provide public safety, emergency response, and professional law enforcement services for our community. Each division plays a distinct role in protecting residents, families, and visitors. These divisions include:

Patrol — The largest division, comprised of uniformed officers who patrol the city to help ensure public safety and respond to emergency calls for assistance.

Traffic — Uniformed officers focused on keeping Rolling Fork’s streets safe for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians. Traffic officers also assist with emergency calls as needed.

Detectives / Investigations — Responsible for follow-up investigations in cases involving serious offenses and other crimes where additional investigation is needed to identify suspects, gather evidence, and develop leads after an initial report.

Crime Scene / Evidence — Specializes in the collection, preservation, and examination of technical and scientific evidence, including items such as fingerprints, firearms-related evidence, and other forensic materials.

Narcotics — Focuses on investigations involving illegal drugs, including distribution and related criminal activity, in coordination with regional partners when appropriate.

Internal Affairs — Reviews and investigates complaints and allegations of misconduct to help ensure professionalism, accountability, and public trust.

Juvenile Division — Focuses on incidents involving juveniles, including juvenile offenses and status matters, with an emphasis on appropriate intervention and coordination with families and partner agencies.
