Rolling Fork
Mississippi
Alderwoman LaDonna Sias
My journey as Alderwoman began in 2005, and I continue to serve the residents of Ward 3 in the City of Rolling Fork with unwavering commitment and dedication. For more than twenty years, I have worked to ensure that citizens are informed, heard, and effectively represented in city government. This role is not simply a position; it is a calling rooted in service, integrity, and accountability. I take pride in communicating accurate information and remaining approachable, accessible, and available whenever called upon.
Resilience defines my leadership. I confront challenges directly by managing difficult situations, learning from setbacks, and maintaining the resolve necessary to move forward stronger. I owe this steadfast commitment to the voters who entrusted me to serve.

A significant focus of my tenure has been addressing chronic flooding in the Northgate community. Through collaboration, and open dialogue two Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and one Delta Regional Authority (DRA) grant to fund the Northgate Drainage Improvement Project. This initiative included the installation of new culverts to improve water flow, restoration of residential driveways, and comprehensive drainage enhancements throughout the neighborhood. As a result, residents now benefit from improved drainage efficiency and stronger infrastructure.
As a Certified Municipal Official through the Mississippi Municipal League, I completed Basic Certification (60 hours), Advanced Certification (40 hours), and Professional Development Level (40 hours), totaling 140 hours of municipal training. These programs strengthened my understanding of municipal law, economic development, and executive leadership.
I graduated from Rolling Fork High School in 1986, attended Hinds Community College, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Jackson State University in 1991. I later earned a graduate degree from Delta State University in 2009 and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from University of Southern Mississippi in 2012. I currently serve as Special Education Director for the South Delta School District, where I apply strategic leadership and compliance expertise to support students and families.
Additionally, I am a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and The Links, Incorporated. I also serve on the Board of Trustees for Mississippi Delta Community College. Collectively, these roles reflect my continued commitment to service, leadership development, civic engagement, and community empowerment.
I am married to Roy Sias, and we are the proud parents of two sons, Zacchaeus and Zachary Sias. My family remains my foundation and greatest source of strength as I continue to serve with dedication and purpose
