VICTIM SERVICES

The Rolling Fork Police Department provides victim services designed to support and help protect victims of crime or abuse who have legitimate reason to feel threatened or unsafe in their homes. These services may be available from the time an incident is reported through related court proceedings. When circumstances warrant, personnel may respond to scenes of crimes, accidents, or to a victim’s location to help ensure immediate safety and connect individuals with appropriate resources. Victim services are available to any victim of crime, with particular attention to domestic violence situations.

Victim services can assist by connecting victims with community partners and resources, including counseling options (including free or low-cost services where available), assistance with obtaining protective orders, information regarding restitution in criminal cases, and guidance on victim compensation resources that may provide financial assistance to individuals or family members impacted by violent crime.

If you believe you are in immediate danger, call 911 right away. If your home is unsafe due to domestic violence, you are the victim of a crime, or you would like more information about victim services and available resources, please contact the Rolling Fork Police Department as soon as possible.
